THCC Leadership Teams PDF Print E-mail

It has been said that what makes the THCC a world-class organization is its members and volunteers who generously dedicate their time, talents and leadership. Although we have an outstanding staff at the THCC office, it would be impossible to accomplish all the things the THCC does with out our members and volunteers who serve on various committees.

We encourage our members to become involved with chamber programs that are developed through our member run committees. The following are the THCC Leadership Teams in which you, as a member can become involved with:

  • Board of Directors Committee - Chairwoman Tara Torres Hungate -The primary responsibility of a nonprofit board of directors is to guide the organization in accomplishing its mission. In fulfilling this obligation, the board has a legal duty to use the organization's assets prudently. They also support the vision and carry out the goals of the organization.

  • Program Committee - Lea Marquez Peterson - This team has two primary functions; coordinate educational business seminars and to organize speakers for the membership luncheons.

  • Finance Leadership CommitteeChair Lou Ascarrunz - This committee is responsible for organizing and approving any finance reports, auditing, reviews and budget processes.

  • Foundation Board - Chair Bill Holmes -The primary responsibility of a nonprofit board of directors is to guide the organization in accomplishing its mission. In fulfilling this obligation, the board has a legal duty to use the organization's assets prudently. They also support the vision and carry out the goals of the organization.

  • Gala Event Committee - Chair Tara Hungate - This team organizes and puts on our annual dinner where we recognize the Business Man and Woman of the Year. The event is the largest fundraising event for the THCC and takes place in late Fall.

  • Membership Ambassador Committee - Leticia Ortiz - This team welcomes new members, helps in securing new members, maintaining members and member involvement in chamber committees', activities and functions.

  • Public Policy Leadership Commitee - Chair Lou Ascarrunz - This team reviews, discusses and creates position statements representing THCC members with regards to Federal, State and local government issues that affect businesses and the Hispanic community.
